HOW TO GET TO HEAVEN

1 Tim 1:15 This is a faithful saying, and worthy of all acceptation, that Christ Jesus came into the world to save sinners; of whom I am chief.

GOD'S PLAN OF SALVATION

1. God says in order for you to go to Heaven, you must be born again. In John 3:7, Jesus said to Nicodemus, "Ye must be born again." We must realize that we are sinners, Romans 2:23 "For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God" so because we are sinners, we are condemned to die. Romans 6:23 "For the wages of sin is death" this means eternal separation from God in Hell, the Bible tells us in Hebrews 9:27 That "it is appointed unto men once to die, but after this the judgment. But God so loved the world you and me so much that He gave his only begotten Son, Jesus, to bear your sin and my sins and die in our place, The Bible says in 2 Corinthians 5:21 " He hath made Him {Jesus, Who knew no sin} to be sin for us that we might be the righteousness of God in Him". Jesus had to shed His blood and die for you and me. The Bible says in Lev. 17:11 "For the life of the flesh is in the blood and without the shedding of blood is no remission which means {"pardon"}. Romans 5:8 says "But God commendeth His love toward us, in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. How does the Bible tell us to be saved? Acts 17:30 Gods says: ...."God ...now commendeth all men everywhere to repent. What is "Repentance", it is a change of mind that agrees with God that we are sinners, and we also agree that Jesus on the cross died in our place. Acts 16:30-31 Paul and Silas were in jail and the Jailer thought Paul and Silas had escaped from the jail, the jailer was going to take his life and Paul and Silas said to him we are all here do thyself no harm. Then the jailer ask Paul and Silas that very important question. "Sirs, what must I DO TO BE SAVED? And they said , BELIEVE ON THE LORD JESUS CHRIST, AND THOU SHALT BE SAVED." The Bible tells us in Romans 10:13 "For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved" and in Luke 18:13 the man in the parable simply prayed "God be merciful to me a sinner" when he prayed this prayer Jesus said that he went back to his house justified {saved}. Just now why not pray this prayer. "Dear Lord Jesus, I know I am a sinner. I believe You was my substitute when You died on the Cross. I believe You shed Your blood for me. I now receive You as my Savior. I thank You for the forgiveness of my sins, the gift of salvation and everlasting life, come now into my heart and save me.
